Storm

We had a nasty storm over here today. Two rounds of hail, that seems to happen way to often around here. The first round just did a tiny bid of damage, but the second round hit us hard. We have holes in our siding now, again. I think we need to brick that side our house. Our roof took a beating too with small pieces flying off and sticking to our wet windows. The hail was huge! I would for sure say larger than golf ball size. By the time we were able to get outside and grab some (without getting whacked in the head) they had been rained on for quite a while and were not as large.

There was a tornado in a town not that far away, over more where my sister lives. She was out shopping with her daughter when they spotted the tornado coming towards them. How scary is that! They ran into a Subway and got drenched, it was raining so hard. Her car has tons of hail damage, so does my husbands.

But the sun is out and the sky is already blue. The flowers I planted last weekend are quite trashed, but other than that you wouldn’t know we had a storm.

I love how you can actually see the hail falling in these first two images.

How scary! I used to live in the Midwest and hated the tornado season. Sorry about the hail damage!

I actually feel very fortunate that is all that happened. One family affected by the tornado lost their 2 year old son. I couldn’t imagine something happening to my kids. I will take hail any day.
