Happy Holidays!
The sad news first: I am starting out 2012 with a long break from my photography business. I thank all of my wonderful clients for their past support, but my kids have gotten quite busy as they have grown older and I feel like I need to take a step back, enjoy them more, and take a deep breath.
As most of my clients know I am not just a children’s photographer, I am also an Art Director/Graphic Designer/Product Photographer for a company in the Twin Cities. Juggling both jobs has been a lot, but I love ♥ love ♥ love capturing those adorable moments and expressions from the sweet little kids that pass through my doors on Saturdays. It wasn’t so bad trying to juggle my photography business with one child in extra activities, but two has proven a bit more of a challenge. Now that my younger son is equally involved (actually, he is MORE involved than his older brother ;o), I just feel I am missing out on too much.
Now the good news! I will not be away forever, but when I do start taking sessions again it will be on a limited basis. Subscribe to my blog (link above), or to my Facebook Fan Page, for updates this next year and to find out when I am scheduling sessions once again.
Thank you!
♥ Jana

These perfect little girls were gorgeous to photograph. Taking newborn portraits of multiples is not only hard work for the photographer, but it is a ton of work for mom and dad too. Someone always needs attention whether it be a diaper, sip of milk or a sweet little cuddle. It is hard work, but it is so rewarding! The portraits that come from sessions like this one are some of my favorites of all time. So well worth the time and patience to get that perfect image. ♥

It has been really fun watching these two little girls grow into the little people they are today. Their personalities have kind of stuck since they were newborns - can you tell which one is shy? They are adorable and very sweet little girls, a true blessing to anyone who has met them.
Grandma and Grandpa decided to get in on the portrait action this time as well. What a wonderful idea! I am sure this will be a memory they treasure for the rest of their lives. Thank you so much, Erika, for sharing your family with me. ♥

These cuties belong to one of my cousins. It was really nice to see them when they came for a portrait session this year, it is always nice to gab and catch up while photographing a session. Their kids were really adorable.
Here are a few of my favorites from this session.

I love these boys. &hearst;
These three boys are so adorable, and sweet, and shy, and fun to photograph! The newest addition to the family is a 3-month old bundle of smiling joy. Boy is he cute! As some know, I am kind of partial to strawberry blonds, and these boys have the most beautiful hair color. There are many women out there that pay a lot of money for something they can grow naturally (jealous).
I can’t wait until their next visit to see how much they have grown!

I can’t believe how fast this year went! It seems like yesterday I was taking newborn portraits of this beautiful little girl. Now she is one and on the move! I loved her hair as a newborn and 6-month old, and love it even more as a 1-year old. It is so curly and crazy - perfect. She was so happy and photogenic, always has been for each session. I am going to miss seeing her every 6 months.
Here are just a few of my favorite images - I had a really hard time narrowing it down!

This little guy was just perfect for his 1st portrait session. He slept like a dream, curled up and so sweet. Newborn sessions take a lot of patience and can last from 2-1/2 hours to 3 hours, he made that time fly by! It takes a lot of time to get those perfect shots that mom has been dreaming of. Honestly, one my favorite part of the session is just gabbing with mom and dad.
If you would also like beautiful newborn portraits, we are currently running a Baby Plan Special! Click here for more details.
Here is a little 3×3 book that was printed of the session (new product). It was beautiful! This image shows the cover and one side of the inside spread (it was printed on both sides).
