I am so happy you have found my photography blog! This blog is dedicated to my passion for photography and what I have been up to lately. Here you will find updates for my home studio, contests, and me showcasing recent portrait sessions. Is this not the coolest thing you have ever seen?! Okay, maybe I only think it’s cool, but hey my name is trademarked, LOL. I was shopping this afternoon at CUB Foods and it jumped out at me. I had to buy a couple of bottles of Jana Water! I know the photo is really bad, but it is from my phone.
Just wanted to share. 
This little girl just could not make up her mind! She had to try just about all of my pretty skirts on. I mean, what little girl doesn’t want to play dress up and model their stuff for the camera? They are so much fun! I have more than this, but she just about had her bases covered. :o) I also love the knit purple dress her mom brought, so cute!! This little girl was such a doll to work with, so cooperative for her age (other than being indecisive). Here are some of my favorites of this cute little blonde.

It looks like she sure did have fun with modeling all those skirts. Cute little girl and I do love the one in the knitted outfit. Classic portrait!

Meet my sister { T }.
My sister came over this weekend to have portraits done of her two kids and asked if she could have some done of just her for her Facebook page. I thought that was pretty funny, but who wouldn’t like nice photos of themselves to show friends that haven’t seen you since high school. High School was a LONG time ago, that it was even more important, LOL. I rarely photograph adults but learned a few tricks at a workshop this past Spring that I wanted to try out. I think her images turned out very nice and am happy that she loves them. Women rarely have nice photos of themselves done, but I think it is important to have something to pass down to our kids. I, for one, am never in photos. I am the one taking them. The photo of myself on my blog was taken at that workshop I attended this Spring and it was so exciting to be in front of a camera where the person knew what they were doing and you knew they were going to make you look great. I can’t thank Shelby Lane enough for my portrait.

What a great idea to photograph her alone. I think you are right her kids would want to see these photographs when they are older and remember the way she looked when they were kids.

Great photos! I am sure she really appreciates that. I know what you mean about always being the one taking the photos, but hard to find somebody to take photos of you the way you like. I took some photos several months ago of my sister and she really liked them. Plus, it was a fun day together!

Oh, that first image is so adorable!! Well, they all are adorable, but I just love that attitude:)
These two brothers look so much alike, aside from the color of their hair you would think they were twins if they were the same age. When the second one was born I thought he looked identical to his older brother. Oh, and I LOVE their blue eyes! They are both very cute and the little guy was just a sweet heart in front of the camera. At 7 months old he was a mover though and it became interesting after a while! It was a fun portrait session and I felt I got some pretty cute images of them.

I thought this blog post was very informative and powerful - totally tugged at my heart strings. I just had to pass it along in hopes that it touches someone else.
This little guy was so cute! And busy busy busy. One year olds that can walk like to enjoy their new found freedom, he was not the exception. This sweetie was a very happy little man so I just had to be really fast with my camera shutter. I think in the end we wore him out, LOL.
